BASIC HEALTH TIPS ABOUT CARROTS

This is another widely grow root vegetable that is  eaten both fresh and cooked, though the nutrients are more when consumed raw. It's crunchy texture has endeared it to many,  both adults and children alike.

Research has it that,  carrot is a native to Europe  and Southwestern Asia; But most countries now cultivate carrot mainly China, even Nigeria is not an exception,  because the carrots consumed in Nigeria are mainly grown in the Northern part of Nigeria.

Just like the cucumbers,  the health benefits of carrots are almost same as that of cucumber and their functions same. In a nutshell,  the health benefits of carrots are equally exhaustive, I will mention just a few here since our main concern here is it's effect with regards to a glowing skin

 It must be noted here too that carrots are so rich in vitamins. It's vitamin content are vitamins A,  C,  K,  B8, (pantothenic acid- which is a vitamin of the B complex family found in animal and vegetable foods necessary for cell growth) potassium,  iron,  copper and manganese

HEALTH BENEFITS OF CARROTS :

a) Reduction of cholesterol level,  which in turn prevents heart attack
b) Wards of cancer -Anti-cancer, it's ability to ward of cancer is based on the fact that it has anti oxidants such as beta-carotene, thus high consumption of carrot rich foods reduces the risk of certain cancers such as

--Lung cancer
--Breast cancer
--Colon cancer., it must also be noted here that fiber rich foods  are anti cancer.

c) Improves vision
d) Reduces signs of premature aging,  it's juice increases the health of your skin
e) Boosts the immune system
f)  Improves digestion,  just like most vegetables  because of the high fiber content.
g)  Detoxifies the body
h)  Reduces blood pressure and the risk of stroke because of the potassium content, the intake of potassium through carrot rich foods relaxes tension in the blood vessels and arteries.

The above insight is just a resume of the health benefits of carrots,  but just as I said earlier our concern here is it's benefits to our skin.

In view of all the numerous benefits of carrots mentioned above,  suffix it to state here that carrot juice is also a great skin repairer. It's benefits to the skin is as follows :
a)  Carrot juice lightens  the skin
b)  It evens the skin tone
c)  It acts as a sunblock
d)  It clears sunburn
e)  It makes the skin smoother, softer and firmer.
f)  It acts as an exfoliante to the skin.

Finally,  to get the benefits of the above mentioned on your skin, just follow the procedure or method used in the cucumber write up.  First grate and extract your carrot juice, secondly with the help of cotton wool,  darb extracted juice on face and neck,  thirdly do not wash out,  allow to dry , fourthly  apply your night cream and watch as your skin glows the next morning.

Remember, use as long as necessary,  always preserve extracted juice  in the refrigerator.
